Book Description:   Lisa is missing. She is the mother of two children. Her husband comes home from work to find the young child and baby crying. The police inspector initially believes that her husband beat her to death, but he has an alibi. After investigating her neighbors and finding nothing suspicious, the case grows cold. Six months later, when a witness comes forward with a report that she saw Lisa walking around near the cemetery picking wild vegetables in the late afternoon on the day she vanished, the inspector decides to reopen the case. He questions the parents of the missing girl. They tell him that Lisa loved another man before she married her husband and that her husband did not father her two children. He then investigates and clears the real father of any wrongdoing. During the inspector’s investigation, the ritual to transfer the bones from the cemetery to the ossuary takes place [an ossuary is bone storage cavern for the bones of the long dead evicted from their leased resting place]. When the ossuary is opened for the transfer ceremony, the bones of a girl are found hanging from a leather apron. She has been pushing on the ossuary doors trying to get out. Someone buried her alive. She was Lisa. The Mayor calls the Inspector and informs him of the finding of a body.

Inspector Santorini now investigates who had access to the ossuary key and eventually charges someone with the death of Lisa.
