Author: Dr. Andre Alexander Kulisz
Author Bio: Dr. Andre Alexander Kulisz is a native of Poland. He immigrated to the United States in 1980. His expertise is the application of physics and mathematics in the development of new, minimally invasive treatment methods. Dr. Kulisz has been involved in treating female incontinence since 1990. During that time he developed an intraurethral bladder control device, and a treatment method for women with incontinence and retention. As of this writing, it is the only device approved in many foreign countries for a six-month continuous use. He also developed several other medical devices. Dr. Kulisz’s other interests include the healthcare economics, healthcare quality systems, and the delivery of the effective, low-cost treatments that are so important at the time of stressed health care budgets of many countries. He believes that the application of basic science in medicine plays an important role in accomplishing this goal. He also stresses the importance of the patients’ learned and active participation in their treatments. Among his other degrees he has a doctorate in the development of medical instrumentation from the Knightsbridge University in England. Dr. Kulisz lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife Tommie and his three sons, Tad, Thomas and Jonathan.

Book Description:   Urinary incontinence is a condition that most women are resentfully familiar with. In the United States alone, 13 million women experience this condition chronically. Very little help is provided to them in the form of education and nonsurgical treatment. “Drips, Leaks, and Low Spirits” is the result of my 10 years of research of incontinence during which I have developed and taught new treatment methods, both in the United States and abroad. The key to successful treatment of incontinence is education. Women need to be well versed in three areas: urinary infections, depression, and incontinence itself. They need to understand the importance of treating the depression, if needed, prior to treatment of incontinence. They also need to know the importance of boosting the immune system to prevent and recover from urinary infections, so prevalent in incontinent women, and also the helpfulness of using highly effective nonsurgical treatments. The book is short and to the point and provides common sense, down-to-earth advice. For those with more severe cases of incontinence, the book offers valuable information on the wide variety of treatment choices available. Education of the patient is the purpose of my book. It is a source of information that had not been available to the general public to date.
