Barbara Allen Stovall is a long life resident of New Orleans, LA. However, due to the catastrophic tragedy of Hurricane Katrina, Stovall, her husband and daughter were forced to relocate to St. Louis, MO in September of 2005. Since then, Stovall has made St. Louis her home away from home. She is the mother of four: James Allen, Jonas Allen, Jamie Allen, and Jamira King. Her parents are the late Albert Allen, Ollie Allen-Davis and Albert Murphy. Stovall spends much of her time reading, watching sports (specifically boxing), and she also enjoys spending time with her family. Stovall is currently working on a sequel to her much anticipated novel.

Book Description:
This story is of a young girl, Karen who's struggling to find herself and to find true love. However, she finds herself in awkward situations that later lead to her being isolated and alone, over and over again. Things begin to change for her in her early adulthood when she meets a young man named Levon. He introduces her to another side of life. But, just as quickly as he enters her world, he suddenly exits it. Karen also introduces her alter -ego, Sophie, who seems to get her into more trouble than she bargains far. In the end, Karen proves to the world that a Bi-Polar Schizophrenic does have what it takes to be loved. She defies her diagnosed mental illnesses and finally set aside her alter-ego in hopes to maintain a better life.
