She has been married to Fred Crabtree for 33-years. They live in Holland, Ohio a suburb of Toledo. An employee at The University of Toledo for over 11-years, Pam has begun working on her M.Ed. Pam won a Press Club Award for an essay she wrote while sitting next to her hospitalized son who was seriously injured in an automobile accident. She was nominated for a Crystal award for a two-part series on children and violence written for The Toledo Area Parent News. When she is not writing or studying, she likes being with family and friends, reading, travel and walking. Lastly, Pam�s fleeting claim to fame occurred in 1992 when she and her husband were asked to appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show.
